“Fantastic Read!"

“It’s amazing what kind of knowledge a girl can glean in a bathroom”
Katherine, or Kat as her friends know her, has the habit of heading for the nearest bathroom when she gets the jitters. And she definitely has the jitters as she waits to bid on the bachelor of her choice in the celebrity Make-A-Wish Foundation Auction. To make matters worse, the hunk she’s bidding on is her ex-husband, a man that if looks could kill, would have already rendered her the victim of…

"Fantastic Read!"

In my office I have a saying; “What would you do if you knew you could not fail?” I don’t remember how many years ago I first read the quote, but I do recall thinking about it often when I feel overwhelmed by a project.
My husband, Butch, (you’ll be hearing a lot about him on the blog site) believes that almost anything is possible—that somehow, someway if you use all the knowledge the universe offers, you can learn to…

“Fantastic Read!”

The other day my grandson Cru age eight and his little sister, Tommie Lyn age 6 were staying over night at our house. These sleep-overs are great fun for me. We have twenty grandkids so you’ll probably get confused along the way, but hang in there with me. They are all delightful and honest and I adore them all so much—much more than big people.
Anyway, Tommie Lyn and I were in the kitchen preparing dinner and I pulled a hot dish from the microwave. Tommie Lyn is busily helping…

“Fantastic Read!”

There is nothing in today’s blog that every woman in the world doesn’t already know, but excuse me while I bitch for a minute.

I’m fine with doing the stuff a writer needs to do for an event, especially if I get to be with my publishers, editor, and other writing friends. I don’t even mind that I have to drive five hours…

"Fantastic Read!"

We live on a beautiful property in Idaho on the Snake River. Are closest neighbors are deer, moose, and a wide array of large birds. This week the geese are back in their nest. It’s my first sign that spring is coming, although I know the middle of March in Idaho is a long, long, way from what will feel like spring around here.
Right now from the cozy comfort of my living room I can see twenty or more geese gliding on the river. We own a tiny island in the middle of the water and…

"Fantastic Read!"

My sixth grade teacher told my mother that I was the most boy-crazy girl she’d ever had in class in the thirty years of teaching. My mom came home from parent-teacher conference madder than hell at me.
So I like boys…what’s wrong with that? Next in line to boys my favorite subject was reading…about boys. In my mind I can still see the cover of a book I read called “Fifteen” by Beverly Cleary. When he holds her hand for the first time…ah romance.

“Good Read with Memorable Characters”

I’m excited to be writing for Boroughs Publishing Group. My experience with them has been such a positive experience. They are so knowledgeable about the editing and publishing phases of putting out a great novel. When I was in my early twenties I noticed that my grandmother spent her spare time reading romance novels, I asked her why she had chosen the genre. At the time my grandfather was dying of cancer. She told me that the novels helped… “It’s amazing what kind of knowledge a girl can…
